Hey Clay is a ceramics studio and membership community in Gowanus, Brooklyn - a neighborhood that has long been home to artists, makers, and creative institutions. The studio sits on the ground floor of a mixed-use development alongside affordable artist studios and a coworking space, steps from the canal and neighbors like Powerhouse Arts and Textile Arts Center. The offerings include beginner courses in wheel throwing and handbuilding, open studio access six days a week, and instructor Office Hours for ongoing guidance outside of class. Members can drop in on their own schedule, build a consistent practice, and take workshops as they're ready to go further. All programs are intentionally designed to be flexible, accessible, and low-pressure.
